Barley Lea Nursery Coventry

One of the newer members of the Bright Kids family is The Barley Lea nursery, Coventry, which opened in September 2021. Situated in the Stoke Aldermoor area of the city this nursery will be able to serve other local districts as well, including Willenhall, Whitley & Binley. The Barley Lea Nursery will provide the same quality, friendly childcare services that we have become known for across all of our other Midlands nurseries.
We are proud to be taking over the Barley Lea nursery, based on The Barley Lea itself and close to Aldermoor Farm Primary School and St Catherines Church. The Barley Lea Nursery will continue to offer indoor and outdoor play on a daily basis, providing the children with essential play opportunities to learn.

The facilities at Barley Lea include an outdoor classroom and a large play space that is ready for us to enhance further into an interesting environment for children to learn and explore. Indoors, babies have their own dedicated area with activities suitable for their development. Our Toddlers & Pre-school children share a space with integrated learning aimed at their individual learning needs.

We plan to bring all of the experiences that we offer in our other settings to Barley Lea. Bright Kids has introduced a Curious theme to our learning as well as offering training to the whole team. We will also be looking to continue our adventures in the local area and seeing how we can interact with it through taking walks and joining in with local activities.

The Barley Lea Nursery is run by qualified, experienced staff who provide quality childcare and pre-school education from 7:30am – 6:00pm. Also flexible part-time hours can be arranged where required.

Indoor play space is provided for your child in specially created age groups and activities are planned to suit their developmental and also learning needs.

Your child will receive age appropriate childcare in small groups:

• Bright Beginnings (6 weeks to 24 months) ‘Our Explorers’
• The Toddler Zone (24 months to 3 years) ‘Our Discoverers’ and Pre-School Education (3 years plus) ‘Our Investigators’ share their space

We were newly registered in September 2021. Our first inspection and grading can happen anytime within the first 30 months. We have five other nurseries, two Outstanding three Good. Our most recent inspections were in July & August 2022 where we obtained an Outstanding at our Evesham  setting and a Good at our Coughton setting. Our Evesham Report said:

Overall the quality of the provision is GOOD.

Children are settled and happy. Babies and young children build sound relationships with staff as they seek and receive comfort and reassurance. Older and more confident children enjoy close bonds and secure attachments as they have fun with their friends and the staff. Children respond well to consistent routines, gentle reminders, and clear boundaries. They are learning how to manage their own feelings and behaviour. Children are considerate towards one another and share familiar resources. They communicate their needs, make lots of choices and become increasingly independent in taking care of themselves.

Visits are welcome at any time except during our busy lunchtime period of 12:00 – 2:00pm when they would need to be by appointment only.

We have waiting lists for many age groups so booking early is always advantageous.
